I spent 10 years of my life traveling, studying and working as an English language teacher across several European countries. I studied English Linguistics and History to Master's level and I also earned a Cambridge CELTA. I'm a qualified English language teacher.
I know the English language inside-out. I'm not kidding. I can tell you whether a word came from Old English, Old French, Latin, Greek or any other language English was influenced by. I'm what you call an old school Historical Linguist. I can work in American English, British English, Canadian English and Australian English. I'm a grammar expert. I'm also not THAT kind of grammar expert. So I'll improve your text without choking out your unique author's voice and pushing my own agenda. Because in this day and age the most important thing for an author is to have their own unique voice and to tell their own unique story. I will not censor what you have to say and I will not be your thought police!

I'm a native English speaker who grew up in Australia and Canada.
I'm a business owner. After a successful career in teaching I decided that I had enough of the nomadic lifestyle and settled down in Québec, Canada where I run my own home-based transcription and editing service. I've been doing this for almost 10 years now and I've worked closely with hundreds of entrepreneurs, authors, business owners, start-ups and other professionals to deliver high-quality transcripts and edited documents and manuscripts. I've also helped edit scores of books and assisted many authors in getting their book to publication. I work with a professional graphic designer in-house who is my partner and together we have helped many authors publish their books.
Some of the many projects I've worked on: audio to book conversions, podcast to blog conversions, webinar to training manual conversions, interviews for government and university research departments, court proceedings and transcripts, medical interviews., editing books, website texts and flyers for business owners. There's simply too many to list! I have over a thousand projects done over the past decade that I've been a freelancer.
